Goa, a truly interesting place to explore, especially suit the budget traveler as well as a luxury one. Goa is full of bounties of nature and can be called a paradise on this side of the world.
Whilst on a Goa tour, one can view silver sands, virgin beaches, the gleaming waves of the Arabian sea lashing the beach line. A truly refreshing scene of green rice fields, palm trees and fruit orchards replenished by the sweet water rivers provide a nature lover’s delight. Religious harmony is depicted by innumerable temples and churches in coexistence since centuries. With Panaji as its capital city, the airport located at Dabolim and for rail connectivity one can travel to and from Madgaon, Goa is well connected with other Indian cities as well. The English language is spoken by one and all, whereas people too use Konkani, Hindi to converse, make Goa a very friendly place to visit. Make sure to visit Goa with the onset of monsoon in June till the winter ends in February.
While visiting the Temples in Goa one can feel the religious sentiment pervading in the air and surrounding. A must pay visit to the Shri Mangueshi Temple, Shri Nagesh at Bandora, Shri Chandranath at Quepem – all dedicated to Lord Shiva. If one wishes to offer prayers to the goddesses, a visit to the Shri Shantadurga – Kavlem, Shri Bhagavati Temple and Shri Mahalaxmi at Bandora, Shri Kalikadevi mandir in Bicholim will make one feel definitely satisfied and at peace.
For those inclined to learn about history of Goa, a visit to the forts of Goa should not be skipped. One can check out the Aguada Fort which today houses the Central Jail, Cabo fort which is the Governor’s Palace, the Chapora fort provides some interesting ruins to look out for and lastly the Terekhol fort which lies at the northern most tip of Goa on a hillock overlooking the Arabian Sea
Ooh La! Lets turn towards the exotic beaches of Goa !! the best places to be whilst in on a Goa tour. A long 105 km coastline, fringed with palm trees and casuarinas, with the waves full of white foam lashing against it form a very picturesque and idyllic landscape to enjoy. Once at a beach, a feeling of serenity and calmness overtakes one’s mind. The atmosphere makes one forget the rigors of life, the work, and the stresses…..amid for those few moments one is transformed into an entire new world of nature and paradise. Some of the most popular and frequented beaches of Goa include Agonda Beach, Anjuna Beach, Calgunte Beach, Colva Beach, Miramar Beach, Dona Paula Beach and Vagator beach.
Most of the Hotels in Goa lie on the beach front providing the guests a straight gateway to explore right away into the sea. Hotels in Goa are aplenty. Goa is full of five star hotels, luxury resorts, economy and budget hotels too. There are private beach houses and self service apartments which offer a quite cozy and comfortable stay while on a tour to Goa. Cidade de Goa, Taj Exotica, Taj Holiday Village, Nilaya Hermitage, Dona Slyvia, Fort Aguada Beach Resort are some of the frequented Hotels in Goa
An India tour without a Goa tour means something greatly amiss. Goa tours provide a truly different experience amidst the nature, a right dash of culture pot potpourri by trying out the fish curry and rice cuisine and exploring Goa all over.
